Dr. Tai is a graduate of WCVM, passionate about veterinary medicine and possibly the happiest person on the planet. Having practiced previously in BC, California, New York and here in Ontario for the past two decades, she has found her permanent home in our community.

Rebecca
Registered Veterinary Technician
Hi, I’m Rebecca — a registered veterinary technician with a deep love for animals and the people who care for them.
I joined Abernant Veterinary Hospital in March 2024, and it has truly become my second home. Before that, I graduated from St. Lawrence College’s Veterinary Technician program in 2018.

Alongside my work at the clinic, I’m currently returning to school to pursue Social Service Work. While I’m now part-time, I still feel deeply connected to our Abernant family and absolutely adore our regular clients and patients. Supporting our community — both two- and four-legged — is something I’m genuinely passionate about.

At home, I’m a proud “crazy cat lady” to seven rescue cats — Crème Brûlée, Bagheera, Samson, Mila, Maxine, Benson, and Rufus — as well as our energetic rescue dog, Babka (who many clients know as Babs and who is often at the clinic with me).
​
No matter what hat I’m wearing, my goal is always the same: to help create a positive, compassionate, and low-stress experience for every pet who walks through our doors.
Traci
Registered Vet Technician
Traci is a Registered Veterinary Technician who has been passionate about animals from an early age. Since graduating she has spent most of her career in emergency medicine but is excited for the more personal experiences general practice has to offer. She loves all aspects of being an RVT but specifically enjoys surgery and diagnostic medicine.

When she's not at work you can find Traci spending time with family, reading, cooking, or crafting.
Crystal
Artist-in-Residence
Crystal was a cornerstone of the Abernant Vet Hospital front office team from 2012 to 2024, greeting clients with warmth, kindness, and unwavering dedication. She graduated from Fanshawe College in 2006 with a diploma in Fine Arts and has since combined her talent with her love of animals through Crystal Clarke Animal Art—a thriving pastel art business capturing the unique spirit of the pets we cherish.

While she has moved on from her role at the hospital to pursue her art career full time, Crystal remains an important part of our clinic’s story. Her passion for animals, creativity, and commitment to client care have left a lasting impression on our team and community.
